Almost all fairy tales and with the words and they lived happily ever after.

This is the completion we all long for. Little girls brought up on stories of, princesses and mermaids dream of the day when they too will be chosen and completed by their own Prince Charming.

This powerful yearning, this longing to be seen and cherished can, at the best of times, be a force of passion and ecstasy. But as we know all too well it can just as easily bring us to our knees in unrelenting despair and exquisite agony.

But you must know by now that you are resilient and resourceful beyond measure. And once you learn to identify and harness the energy of this longing to name it for what it really is, you are on your way to help to wholeness and yes to true love.

You begin this journey like all journeys with a single step. Not into the unknown but this time into yourself when you remember that in this present moment all relationships are reflections of how you treat yourself.

When you embrace the wounds of the past and heal the broken heart of your inner child and when you surrender to the promise of your future, your interval of it becomes absolutely and undeniably irresistible not only to yourself but to those around you and to the energies of the universe.

Once you are open to receiving the love that is truly yours all that’s left to do is accept and embrace the love you desire, and deserve, and celebrate.

This is Dr. Christian Northrop wishing of passionate love, joyous life and a happy Valentine’s Day.

Purpose and Meaning – Dr Wayne Dyer

Pocket

A short edit taken from the film The Shift with Dr Wayne Dyer, produced by Hay House Films. It’s not about age, or about finding yourself, Purpose is found in Service.

Transcript

Nobody needs to ask the question, “What is my Purpose?” It will always be found in service.

If you could just for one day, put your attention into making life better for someone else. If you can focus on thinking like that, that’s how God thinks.

It’s an ancient concept, but it is still relevant.

To touch someone’s life is more valuable than any amount of money.

My friend Byron Katie says: “To believe that you need what you don’t have is the definition of insanity.” That you can’t be fulfilled until you get all these things, that is an illusion, really you don’t need anything more.

It doesn’t matter what it is you do, you could be a cab driver, a teacher, a factory worker, a manager… What matters is that you put your attention on “How may I server?”

Hay House Wisdom Community

Think of the people you go to, whoever you are on your path… you can run an entire business this way – not being attached to an outcome, putting attention on service, your life becomes about living those virtues.

How can I serve? How can I be gentle? How can I be reverent? Thinking like that means you are living in meaning.

The messages of the morning are about what you can and can’t do… about how society defines you. But in the afternoon, after “The Shift”, it’s about connecting to an energy that’s taking care of everything; and we’re all just being done.

For example: Try to stop yourself from breathing, from your fingernails growing. Therefore, living the virtues is all we need to do.

The truth is, I feel something else is in charge of all of this; so it is really about surrendering to it. Surrendering to something that is bigger than you, that you are connected to, and that’s really in control of everything.

There is a place deep within us that wants to feel fulfilled, that wants to know that my life has made a difference… that I have left this place, this planet, that I’ve lived on, better than when I arrived. That someone’s life has been profoundly touched because of my existence. We all want that.

It’s not about age, or about finding yourself. Where ever you are, at whatever age… you’re only a thought away from changing your life.

Follow Your Heart: Dancing To Be Felt Not Seen

Have you put something off that you have always wanted to do and then reached an age or point in your life when you felt it was too late? Dr. Northrup started dancing Argentine Tango in her 50’s and has become healthier and more flexible! Here she talks about how you can too — and why you should!

Follow Your Heart: Dancing To Be Felt Not Seen
Transcript

Hi I’m Dr. Christiane Northrup an Ob/GYN physician and authority on everything that can go right with your body and with your health and how to use this knowledge to transform your life your health and truly flourish.

So i started Argentine Tango in my fifties. Have you ever learned something about yourself by starting something new, that you didn’t expect.

order-making-life-easyWell I’d always wanted to dance and I want you as I’m speaking to think about something you’ve always wanted to do and you thought you’d put it off till later. And then that 50th birthday rolls around and you start to see your friends developing diseases and maybe your parents have become elderly and they’re not doing the things that they always wanted to do.

Well anyway for me that was dancing. At first I thought I’d go to ballroom and then I saw someone dance Argentine Tango across the picture window of main ballroom, ance on a snowy night and Portland Maine and I said oh that’s it.

That’s how you know by the way that it’s your thing. Your heart just goes oh that’s it.

Usually then your mind kicks in you can’t do that if you don’t have a partner and when would you find the time and whatever else.

So I want you to say to that left hemisphere of yours, thank you for sharing but my heart has other ideas.

Now what I learned from tango was that I could grow more flexible. That my balance could be better. That I could experience 2 or 3 minutes of absolute bliss in the arms of a man I’d never met before. Who didn’t even speak English and have, a you know, four-minute affair. And then have it end and leave the dance floor the evening which only cost me five dollars floating on air.

I’ve also learned something else about partner dancing. It is better than golf, better than any other exercise better than anything at preventing dementia.

Why would that be?

Because you are heart-to-heart with another person that makes you extraordinarily vulnerable but it does another thing. It in trains your
heart and his heart or her heart, because we have women who dance both roles, leader follower. And there’s something about it that is life-changing.

Hay House Wisdom Community

It is the kind of intimacy and pleasure we all need.

It’s inexpensive I don’t do that competition thing it’s just a social dance and it’s something I recommend.

But maybe your thing is horses, maybe it’s tennis, maybe its travel, maybe it’s learning another language.

Or as a former surgeon said to me I always wanted to keep bees and when I got the box of bees it was like reiki on steroids with them buzzing.

I want you to follow your heart. It’s incredibly good for your health.

Mike Dooley, creator of Tut “Notes from the Universe”, shares his views on life, about asking the hard questions to discover that they have empowering bold simple answers.

Life On Earth

Transcript

Hi I’m Mike Dooley author of Life on Earth.
Life On Earth by Mike Dooley
Hi I’m Mike Dooley author of Life on Earth.

It’s a book about the nature of reality who we are, how we got here and what we can do with our time in space.

It’s about asking the hard questions to discover that they have empowering bold simple answers.

The premises that life is the ultimate knowable that it’s our highest responsibility to drill down deep to discover all that were capable of doing in the short leading time that were here.

When we answer these questions we discover that we are truly the eyes and the ears of God come alive in the dream of life.

We’re here by choice, pushed onto greatness every single day.

It’s as if our positive thoughts are at least 10,000 times more powerful than our negative thoughts.

Now I’ll grant you a thought is a thought and it’s only judgment that says one is positive versus negative.

But when you consider the truth that we are truly gladiators of the eternal. Eternal beings, beings of light here by choice and we came here clearly to totally rock and roll and to live to our greatest capabilities.

Mike Dooley Bio

Then wouldn’t it make sense that when you’re living a life in these hallowed jungles of time and space that you’d be capable of doing all things that you set your mind to.

And in fact that’s exactly what’s going on and so when you think the thought of:

I’m awesome
This is beautiful
All things are possible

That goes into the current that brought you here.

When, on the other, hand you think a thought like:

I’m an idiot
I am stupid
I’ll never figure it out
What are the chances that i can get ahead

Those are lies lies compared to who you really are.

It is way harder to make negative thoughts and lies become the things and events of our life than it is our positive thoughts.

And knowing this is the key.

We live at a primitive time in these jungles of time in space.

Where we wanted to be here simply because of the challenge of discovering who we are in a generation that’s going from the darkness into the light.

A light that will be here for evermore in a darkness that seem to have followed us around for millennia, we have chosen to be alive at a time when we’re moving from one realm into the other.

So it’s natural that we feel fear we not, natural that we feel resistance, it’s natural that we have these questions.

But the message perhaps that resonates or that speaks the loudest in life on Earth is one of an invitation for all of us including you to go within, ask the big questions, ask the hard questions, discover the answers, see the beauty, learn how to totally rock your life.

Sounds too good to be true?

Your life is proof, all of our lives are proof.

Sometimes we watch the Discovery Channel and we get convinced that life is all about survival of the fittest.

Come on!

Haven’t you smiled a million times more than you have frowned.

Haven’t you laughed a million times more than you’ve cried.

Haven’t you had clarity a million times more than you’ve been confused.

Where’s the 50-50, where’s the survival.

You have blown the lid clear off of survival.

We’ve been thriving even in our ignorance.

Can you imagine how good it’s going to get once we know the truth for having asked these hard questions.

And there’s more!

You’ve had friends a million times more than you’ve been all alone.

You’ve had health a million times more than you’ve been totally sick and bedridden.

And you’ve had money your whole life way more than you’ve had not a nickel in the red.

The evidence is everywhere.

When we wake up to the truth and see what’s been beneath our nose all along, ask the hard questions find the answers, life is the ultimate knowable you came here to rock and roll.

Science of Happiness Course

Transcript:

DACHER KELTNER: Imagine that scientists have created a happiness machine, a machine that could make you happy as you’d like with just the push of a button.

Happy Pockets Full of Money Course

Would you use it?

Would you push the button?

I have asked that question of my students for years, and most of them say no.

Most of them want to find true happiness on their own, in a genuine way.

But how do you do that?

EMILIANA SIMON-THOMAS: That’s where science comes in.

For the past decade, researchers have been developing a roadmap for the pursuit of happiness, suggesting, for instance that roughly 40% of our happiness is determined not by our genes,
but by our daily activities.

It’s up to you.

Hay House Wisdom Community

I’m Emiliana Simon Thomas.

DACHER KELTNER: And I’m Dacker Keltner.

Here at UC Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center, we’ve been part of the scientific movement to identify the sources of a happy, meaningful life.

And we’ve made some valuable discoveries.

And we would like to share these findings with you, to help you unlock the secrets to a happier life, healthier relationships, stronger communities.

EMILIANA SIMON-THOMAS: That’s where this course comes in.

The science of happiness is the first MOOC to teach this research, with presentations from some of the world’s top experts on the subject, like Sonya Lyubomirsky, Jon Kabat-Zinn, Paul
Ekman, and Barbara Frederickson.

They’ll join us in covering topics like mindfulness, compassion, and gratitude.

DACHER KELTNER: Together we’ll tour this field that some call positive psychology.

We’ll explore why writing down things you’re grateful for can strengthen your immune system, and improve your sleep.

How meditation can actually change your brain for the better.

And why spending money on others is actually better for your happiness than spending on yourself.

EMILIANA SIMON-THOMAS: Along the way, we’ll devote special attention to the links between happiness and human connection– kindness, a commitment to something greater than yourself.

DACHER KELTNER: But we’re going to do more than tell you about the science of happiness.

We’re going to help you experience it firsthand.

Each week you’ll try out research tested method for boosting happiness, and strengthening your meaningful connection to others.

You’ll be able to track your progress over time, and discuss it all with your classmates.

EMILIANA SIMON-THOMAS: So please join us for the Science of Happiness.

We’ll put the secrets to happiness at your fingertips, with just the click of a button
